“One” is a key theme at Copper Coffee. We put all of our energy and focus into optimizing one coffee.

Building on the same idea, each Monday morning we will send a quick read on one topic to start your week. The one topic could be a coffee tip, a look behind the scenes, or a topic suggested by a member of the Copper Community. We want it to be entertaining and/or informative and would love your feedback along the way.

The One (Issue 1): The Origin Of Copper Coffee

For years my brother and I traveled frequently for work and with travel came days of being tired and quite honestly feeling like trash. A normal day would be getting coffee in the morning from whatever coffee shop was closest, grabbing another coffee in the mid-morning, and then feeling exhausted by about 3pm. We always assumed we were drinking too much coffee. It was just old coffee.

One coffee from a local roaster and we have been deep in the coffee rabbit hole ever since. You mean to tell us that not all coffee is supposed to wreck your stomach all day? Not all coffee is supposed to give you a headache at the end of the day? Not all coffee makes you jittery? Once we started drinking freshly roasted coffee, our energy levels completely changed. 3pm started to feel like 9am.

We asked all of our friends about their experience with coffee and they were all the same: coffee is coffee. We set out to change this mindset in people by showing them how fresh roasted coffee can impact their day.

Through our research and experimentation with hundreds of coffees from around the world, we found that not cutting any corners on quality and freshness provided two benefits: the coffee tasted much better — and more importantly — it made us feel much better. Our goal then became to maximize all that is good in coffee to make people feel their best.

The end result is Charge Coffee: fresh roasted, organic, and single origin coffee from Guatemala. It is designed to charge people up each day. To our current and future customers – our hope is that we will open your eyes to what coffee can be and what you can be.

Stay charged and see you next week.

Seth

P.S. Why “Copper Coffee”? Copper is one of the best conductors of electricity and our goal is to make a coffee that charges people up.
